Hiking to Rumah Tenggelam (Botung Misteri) & Bukit Tivung on 16 September 2015

Good morning Sabah. Btw, Happy Malaysia Day. Sorry for the late wish (which is I only late for 1
day. Hahaha) Since this is my 1st blog and today I'm officially a Blogger. Hahaha. Omg! Its sounds that I'm so proud for myself. Lol.. Okay. Finish for this section.

Yesterday, I got the chance to go hiking with my family. Been planning for this plan since last week(Monday). I ask my dad & uncle if there know about the story about ''Rumah Tenggelam''. They said, they know about that since it was a long time ago when it happened on 1971. (I'm sorry if my grammar sucks). So, I asked them if they know the way to go there. When they said, ''We had been there a long time ago (They cannot recall when) but I think it's on 2013. My brother said he also had go there when he was on primary 6.

I was so excited when my uncle's said he will be our guide to go there. Yeay! Since I like to do adventure things, I ALWAYS EXCITED. Hahahaha.. So, yesterday.. I woke up on 5.30am in the morning. Preparing for some food to bring there. I cooked only for 30min. Just a simple dishes. Such as, vegetable, and kinoring (Ikan masin) the best food to eat when you go to the jungle. Hahaha.. and I'm glad when my brother help me to prepared some of the stuff to bring there. Hehe..


We started our journey by car to the place that we called ''Sarayo'' and we reached there around 7am.

The way up is okay. But please be ready for mental and physical breakdown! Hahaha.. Just kidding. The hill is not to high.. its just nice. Almost give up but manage to make it until reached at "Rumah Tenggelam". I'M HAPPY GIRL! HAHAHA..

Botung Misteri Memorial.

"Botung ini ialah bekas tapak sebuah rumah yg telah terkorban ditelan tanah bersama berpuluh-puluh orang yang sedang berpesta didalamnya. Didalam satu kejadian ngeri pada tahun 1871. Punca malapetaka dahsyat ini ialah sebab orang2 yang terkorban sebelum itu melanggar pantang larang kaum dusun iaitu membawa seekor monyet dan seekor kucing menari sumazau bersama. Semasa rumah sedang tenggelam tuan rumah suami isteri bernama Biug dan Induk iaitu saudara Ampalot sempat lari dan beritahu kepada umum tentang kejadian itu. Ampalot masih mempunyai keturunan sehingga kini seperti berikut :- Sokubal, Dahanjah, Molijoh, Bolotoh, Joingging, Dodong, Bungging, Murin, dan Relan. Tugu ini diabadikan oleh Benedict Moiji Majami dan anak2. Dibina oleh Nius & Sius pada 20/5/1991".

Benedict Moiji Memorial

Benedict Moiji adalah orang pertama membuka tanah di Tivung Gantung dan Kionop pada T.1947. Pada 1955 beliau merintis jalan menggabung tiga kawasan TSB pada 1971. Pada 1971, Beliau berjaya mendapat bantuan kerajaan USNO melalui Lembaga Tabung Getah Sabah yang berusaha bersama ialah Benedict, Juis, Leomunang dan 50 orang yg ada tanah didalam kawasan terbabit. Memorial ini diabadikan untuk generasi akan datang. Dibina pada 4/5/1991 oleh Nius dan Sius Moiji dan...".
